Projects to receive up to R$ 400,000 for development and implementation
In order to find creative solutions that might help deal with the consequences of the Fundao dam collapse, in January the Renova Foundation launched the call Sustainability and Reconstruction through the Public Notice for Industrial Innovation, organized by Sebrae and Senai.
Seventy-six projects were received from startups and micro and small-sized companies from all over Brazil. The entire process, from receiving the projects to the final result, was accompanied by Senai. The evaluation of the proposals, including interviews with representatives of the companies, was conducted in partnership with Renova. Four projects were selected – two will receive R$ 400,000 each and two others R $150,000 – focused on contributing to the challenges of the reparation, according to the thematic axes: Land and Water, People and Communities, and Reconstruction and Infrastructure.
For the leader of the Economy and Innovation front of the Renova Foundation, Paulo Rocha, this was an excellent experience. “This was the first public notice we launched, and we received very interesting ideas. The four selected projects complied with technical criteria such as business viability and employability in the reparation process we are leading,” he said.
These are the projects:
- SkyVideo – Use of drones to access remote areas with the possibility of on-site physical-chemical analysis and sample collection
- Got it – Professional training in an agile, innovative and low-cost way for the base of the pyramid
- LiaMarinha – Fast and efficient technologies for in situ water treatment
- Phygitall – Intelligent fleet management system
