Local suppliers of the two municipalities can register to participate in competitive processes
The Renova Foundation offers weekly sessions to support the registration of companies that supply goods and services in Mariana and Governador Valadares (MG) and that wish to participate in competitive processes.
Supplier Day is an action that meets the interests of those who want to act in the municipalities affected by Fundao dam collapse, strengthening the local economy. Those interested will be attended to on Thursdays at the Renova Foundation offices located in the municipalities.
In 2018, 95 entrepreneurs from Mariana participated in the initiative. This year there are some novelties, such as itinerant service in rural communities – among them the districts of Aguas Claras and Monsenhor Horta -, to start in June.
According to Simone Pimentel, supply manager of the Renova Foundation, the idea is to meet the suppliers of these districts and encourage them to register. “We are looking for partnerships with local companies, and this initiative is an important way to bring the Renova Foundation closer to them, to answer any questions about the registration process and to increase the supplier database.” She also points out that being part of the supplier database enables the company to participate in the Foundation’s competitive processes for contracting products and services.
In 2018, the contracts totaled R$ 519 million in Mariana. Currently, 144 companies in Mariana, from various fields of action, provide some kind of service to the Foundation.
The local contracting policy of the Renova Foundation is part of the commitment signed in the Transaction and Conduct Adjustment Term (TTAC), to recover the economy of the municipalities affected by the Fundao dam collapse. Priority is given to suppliers located in one of the 39 impacted municipalities and to regional products, which has heated up the local economy.
To make the competitive processes more transparent, the Renova Foundation provides a platform where the company representative can monitor or apply for bidding procedures, in addition to accessing the updated data on executed and planned contracts.
During the process, suppliers are evaluated on technical, financial and compliance capacity. The Foundation works hard to ensure that the procurement and contracting of products and services occurs in a transparent and ethical way, allowing high-quality delivery, technical rigor in the choice of suppliers and better negotiation conditions.
To register, the company representative must present its social contract, CNPJ card, state and municipal registration, as well as banking details.
