Held between January 27 and February 4, the event brings cultural and recreational programs for children, youth and the entire family.
Summer Connection arrives in Mariana and Barra Longa, with an intense cultural and recreational program. Between January 27 and February 4, the event will be visiting the districts of Santo Antonio, Cabanas, Colina, and Gomes Freire Square in Mariana and the Manoel Lino Mol Square in Barra Longa.
An initiative of the Renova Foundation and in partnership with the local governments of each municipality, the Caravan will already be in the carnival mood. There will be workshops for youngsters and children from 4 years old and above, including: construction of toys, masks, musical instruments, dance and much more. In addition to the classes, fun is guaranteed with games, shows by local groups and carnival bands.

This is the second year of Summer Connection, which in 2017 drew 1,000 people to the Gomes Freire Square and organized 19 workshops, which included visits to cultural sites and featured circus, capoeira, dance and rap classes for the families of Mariana and Barra Longa.
