It will be a great opportunity to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences related to the recovery of hydrographic basins and the preservation of water resources
Largest global event on water issues, the 8th World Water Forum (WWF) will take place from March 18 to 23 in Brasilia. It is the first time that the triennial event will be held in a country in the Southern Hemisphere. With the theme “Sharing Water”, the Forum aims to perpetuate the discussion about the importance of rational and sustainable use of water.
The Renova Foundation marks its presence in the Forum organizing a side event and video exhibition and participating in round tables and lectures.
The voice of citizens
As part of the Environmental Education actions, the Renova Foundation organized, between July and August 2017, the Educational Program for the Revitalization of the Doce River Basin. As a result of the Call, 43 experiences were selected to participate in the Event for Sharing Stories and Know-How. The meeting was an excellent opportunity for appreciating and exchanging experiences as a way of inspiring and strengthening a network of institutions linked to environmental education.
One of the fruits of this meeting was the production of videos that now participate in the contest “The voice of citizens”, within the World Water Forum program. With online voting, the productions will be awarded and presented in Citizen’s Village.
Watch the selected videos and vote.
