In 2023, a total of R$79 million should be invested with the signing of four more contracts
A ceremony held this Tuesday, January 31, at Palácio Anchieta, in Vitória, signed the investment of R$20 million for forest restoration in the Bananal river basin, in the north of Espírito Santo. On the occasion, the CEO of the Renova Foundation, Andre de Freitas, launched a public notice for hiring companies and/or consortia to provide technical, scientific and operational services in the region.
To date, 12 contracts have been signed through notices for the shares, with an investment of R$251 million. In 2023, a total of R$79 million should be invested with the signing of four more contracts.
In addition to the recovery of Permanent Preservation Areas, Water Recharges and springs, a massive program of training and monitoring for seed collection and seedling production is also contemplated, in addition to the partnership with rural producers who can carry out the program on their properties, if they wish. Actions in Espírito Santo
The Renova Foundation’s goal is to restore 40,000 hectares of PPAs and Water Recharge (GRA), in addition to 5,000 springs along the entire Doce River basin through the Notice of Adhesion of Rural Producers to Forest Restoration Programs. In Espírito Santo, it is expected that 13,129.14 hectares and 1,610 Springs will be restored. For this, R$1.7 billion is being allocated in integrated actions in the state.
The initiative contemplates the large basins and covers, in all, 66 municipalities. In Espírito Santo, the municipalities of Afonso Cláudio, Baixo Guandu, Brejetuba, Colatina, Iúna, Laranja da Terra, Linhares, Marilândia, Pancas, Rio Bananal, Santa Teresa and São Roque do Canaã were contemplated.
