The goal is to register 580 entries in the municipality by the end of this month
The registration process of those impacted, started by Samarco on emergency basis shortly after the collapse of the Fundão dam, is being continued by the Renova Foundation.
Until the first half of January, 504 properties were registered in Barra Longa (MG), with the identification of about 450 affected families. The goal is to register 580 entries in the municipality by the end of this month. In this phase, where everyone participates, the socio-economic survey of the family unit is made, and those who had physical losses due to the disruption receive a technical inspection to check for damage.
After recording the data collected by Synergia Environmental Consulting, a partner of the Renova Foundation in this work, the forms are returned to the families for approval. They should verify the information provided and validate the document in the Information and Service Center or by phone (0800 031 2303). The approval phase has already begun and continues until March. Once approved, the records will guide the 23 socio-economic programs, the stage prior to participation.
