Houses, cattle pens and roads are some of the already completed construction works in the region
Barra Longa (MG) was one of the municipalities most impacted by the collapse of the Fundão dam in Mariana (MG). But gradually, the region is being restructured and recovering from the consequences of the mud that passed through it.
One of the programs the municipality is part of is the Program for the Recovery of Impacted Communities and Infrastructures, which aims to carry out the recovery and reconstruction of infrastructures damaged by the collapse, such as reestablishment of accesses, cleaning and removal of waste, rubble and debris, and reconstruction or renovation of fences, cattle pens, barns, churches.
