Between the 14th and 16th of June, the municipalities of Rio Doce, Santa Cruz do Escalvado and Barra Longa hosted, for the first time, the Water Circuit of the Doce River Basin.
The municipalities of Rio Doce, Santa Cruz do Escalvado and Barra Longa hosted, for the first time, the Doce River Basin Water Circuit. The initiative, carried out between the 14th and 16th of June, made available to the public a series of awareness actions on the preservation of water and the environment.
Among the activities, guided tours were conducted so that the population could learn about some of the actions carried out by the Renova Foundation in the region, such as sewage treatment networks and recovery of springs in rural properties.
Special closing ceremony for the Doce River Basin Water Circuit
Next Saturday, June 24th, the Rio Doce Sports Court will be the stage for the closing ceremony of the Doce River Basin Water Circuit in the region. There will be 6 hours of program with many attractions for the participants. There will be lectures, workshops, writing and drawing contests, a virtual tour of the Doce River and cities served by the Renova Foundation, and much more.
During the closing event, there will be a Renova Informative space, open to answer questions about the Doce Alive water supply programs; and on the implementation of the Sanitary Sewage System.
In addition, participants will be able to watch cultural presentations and also test their knowledge in the space “What is your choice”, in interactive games about the four elements. The program is extended to children, who will have a Kids Space to have fun and learn about the theme.
About the Doce River Basin Water Circuit
The initiative is a mobilization and social engagement work carried out in the municipalities impacted by the Fundao dam collapse. The project addresses the issue of water in the reparation process and other interconnected issues, such as forest restoration.
