Actions contribute to reestablishing tourist activity and give local economy an impulse
On October 12, 2016, the towns of Regência and Povoação, both districts of Linhares in Espírito Santo, were full of sport events and entertainment. About 50 people participated in the Rowing across the Doce River Project, which gathered 15 professional athletes to cross between the two towns along the Doce River on a stand up paddle or kayak. The sportsmen and women left Portinho, in Regência and rowed to Povoação where they gave away toys to around one hundred children before going back.

Meanwhile in Regência, the Happy Children Festival Project, gathered over five hundred children amusing themselves with inflatable jumpy houses, singing contests, a mechanical bull, bike rides, and other fun family games. Hot dogs, popsicles and popcorn were handed out, besides musical shows, like the one from the Christmas band.
