Traffic is altered ensuring the safety of residents and drivers who travel at the location
The bridge at do Rosário Street, in Santa Rita Durão, district of Mariana (MG), at the exit to Bento Rodrigues, is being rebuilt. To ensure the safety of residents, since the beginning of the works, on August 9, the stretch has been closed. Vehicles that travel through the location should make the detour through the streets of Pinheiros and Guilherme Carneiro. During the intervention, there will be signs and professionals guiding drivers and available to answer questions and solve problems.
The entire bridge will be rebuilt according to current civil construction standards, which guarantee the quality of the service and its safety for use. In addition, a pedestrian walkway will be built. The forecast is that the works will finish in December and the traffic will be cleared.
The work
After the Fundao dam collapse in 2015, several emergency actions were necessary in the Bento Rodrigues region. Heavy vehicles carrying construction materials had to pass over the bridge, which had its structure compromised, putting car traffic on the site at risk.
Less impact
To reduce the impacts of the works on residents, the Renova Foundation will carry out a Preliminary Risk Analysis (APR) daily before the start of activities, in addition to the Daily Safety Dialogue (DDS) with the teams of workers, for guidance, including the topic of community security.
