Board members participated in the workshop and made field trips
On June 8 and 9, members of the Renova Foundation’s Board of Governors were in Belo Horizonte (MG) to participate in the “Long-Term Vision” workshop, which aimed to raise discussions and define the institution’s strategic direction.
The members of the board also made a field trip to learn about the activities developed by Renova. They visited the Lavoura land where Bento Rodrigues (MG) will be rebuilt, and the original Bento Rodrigues region, where they accompanied the recovery of material goods, and visited the Technical Reserve in Mariana (MG), where recovered objects are stored and restored.
In addition, the members observed the restoration work of the Gualaxo River, a tributary of the Doce River, and got to know the region of the Fundão dam collapse from up close. “We recognize that we have a lot to do. My request is that we all come together to create a new future. We really need to team up with society so that we can build a sustainable development that can transform the entire affected region”, says Wilson Nélio Brumer, president of the Board of Governors.
The Board of Governors is responsible for carrying out the annual and multi-annual planning, budgets and contracting, as well as the approval of the Renova Foundation’s plans and actions.
