Applications for lots 5, 6, 9 and 11 must be submitted by February.
Currently applications are accepted for new lots through the RFP Ater Sustainability Minas Gerais – Resumption of Agricultural Activities. Organized by the Resumption of Agricultural and Livestock Activities Program of the Renova Foundation, the initiative aims to contribute to the sustainable rural development of properties impacted by the Fundao dam collapse, which occurred in Mariana (MG).
The public call is for public and private institutions, non-profit organizations and work cooperatives, to carry out Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (Ater) actions with rural producers. Application may be submitted until February 18th through this link.
The ATER actions support the resumption process of agricultural activities and the environmental readjustment of properties, in addition to assisting in the application of sustainable production practices and ways of conserving soil and water. The initiative also seeks to promote gender equality and to keep youth in the countryside, with support for the insertion or expansion of markets for the sale of products.
The new lots, 5, 6, 9 and 11, correspond to the municipalities of Bom Jesus do Galho, Caratinga, Corrego Novo, Dionisio, Pingo D’Água, Rio Casca, Sao Domingos do Prata, Sao Jose do Goiabal, Sao Pedro dos Ferros , Sem Peixe, Bugre, Fernandes Tourinho, Iapu, Ipaba, Ipatinga, Santana do Paraiso, Sobralia, Timoteo, Tumiritinga, Aimores, Itueta and Resplendor. In total, 479 families from the 22 impacted municipalities will receive 64 hours/year of technical visits. The contract will be for a minimum of 34 months.
To be able to participate, the entity should be registered in the Anater Management System (SGA) and/or the Ater Computerized System (Siater), or in the process of doing so. Institutions located in the Doce River Basin and with proven experience in local activities will get priority.
