First family of Paracatu receives the keys to the house in the new district
The time has come for the residents of Paracatu, the new district of Mariana, to receive the keys to their new homes. Little by little, according to the families’ intentions, the keys will be handed over and the changes will be able to be scheduled and carried out, with the support of the Renova Foundation.
To guarantee the community access to essential services, the Renova Foundation and the Municipality of Mariana work together, as provided for in the Term of Commitment for the delivery of Paracatu. Mariana’s Municipal Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainable Development has already issued the license that allows the operation of internal roads; Water Treatment Stations (ETA) and Sewage Treatment Stations (ETE); and the district cemetery.
Learn more about some of the essential services in Paracatu:
- Urban cleaning and garbage collection: will be carried out by the Municipality of Mariana, with the support of the Renova Foundation. There will be a schedule for garbage collection, which will be disclosed to future residents.
- Public and property security: Municipal Civil Guard, Military Police and other public security agents will carry out preventive patrols in the streets and will have an exclusive room at the Service Center. In addition, surveillance cameras will be installed.
- Telephone and internet: in the district, there is a cellular signal from the provider Vivo. The internet service will be provided by Valenet. Each house will have a 300 mb internet plan and the first 12 months will be paid in full by the Renova Foundation.
Other actions will be carried out to ensure the comfort and well-being of the residents of the district, such as public transport, control of dust and noise emission and the payment of public property taxes, electricity and water for families, by the Renova Foundation for five years.
